RSM CHRISTIAN SCHOOL AWARDED STATE FARM® GRANT

Rancho Santa Margarita, CA, March 25, 2021 — The administration at RSM Christian School, a private school in South Orange County, CA, is proud to announce that they have been awarded the State Farm® Teacher Assist Grant.

“We are thrilled to receive $2,500 to go toward building a more robust yearbook elective program for our students,” said Lori Jensen, Principal of RSM Christian.

According to Jensen, the State Farm® grant will help the school purchase new equipment and technology for its Junior High yearbook elective class. Equipment slated to be purchased includes:

  • 5 Graphic Drawing Tablets
  • 8 Digital Recorder Cameras
  • 3 DSLR Cameras

The school’s yearbook editor and elective teacher led the charge in finding the grant and applying for it.RSM Christian School is one of 40 teachers across California,  and one of only two in Orange County, to be awarded the grant.

During a recent school chapel, local State Farm® agent, Mr. Rick Sicro came to RSM Christian to present the check to the yearbook class.

The State Farm® Teacher Assist program is a new initiative for the company that partners with teachers, students, and educators across the county. In a statement, State Farm recognized the many challenges teachers are facing during this COVID school year.

“Everything from fundraising to teaching in the classroom has been affected by our current pandemic,” added Jensen. “Earning this grant is a blessing to our students and we are grateful for State Farm for seeing the need and stepping up to fill it.”
